In this episode of La Pause Café Croissant, I share my experience attending the Rocket League World Championship (Worlds) in Lyon on September 13th. Although my favorite team Vitality got eliminated on the first day, I still had an amazing time with my brother-in-law. The atmosphere in the LDLC Arena was electric fans cheering, singing, and supporting teams from all over the world. One of the highlights was a surprising performance by an Australian team, turning the entire crowd into passionate supporters. In this episode of La Pause Café Croissant, I share the story of a personal challenge: cycling 120 km in one day with my father to finish our trip along the Canal du Midi. Originally, we planned to return by car, but we pushed ourselves to ride home by bike turning it into a real sporting challenge. We rode for 8 hours and 40 minutes (10h40 with breaks), got lost a few times trying to avoid traffic, ate simple meals on the go (croissants, salads, candy, quiche, raspberry tart...), and had lots of laughs.Neither of us are regular cyclists, but with a solid base in general fitness, we made it and even pushed the route from 116 to exactly 120 km, just for the satisfaction. A day full of effort, bonding, and pride.🎧 Listen now and practice with live transcription: https://lapausecafecroissant.fr Learn French naturally with real-life conversations between native speakers. In this episode of La Pause Café Croissant, I share my unforgettable bike trip with my father along the Canal du Midi, covering 320 km across southern France. We camped under the stars, stayed in charming guesthouses and even slept in a wooden cyclo-lodge.
